About the Role

Zopa Bank Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lending Strategy Analyst to join our high-performing risk analytics team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for driving step-change improvements in credit performance by developing risk models, hypothesis testing, and monitoring portfolio trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex and high-impact projects, leveraging your expertise in credit risk analysis and data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, and engineers, to develop and drive growth strategies, influence strategic decisions, and identify new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the fraud team to stay updated on the latest trends and explore potential enhancements to our fraud strategy.
  • Formulate strategies to improve our affordability policy and ensure we continually deliver good customer outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our lending products, including unsecured personal loans, credit cards, secured loans, and point-of-sale finance.
  • Design and implement changes to credit policy, working closely with the product and tech teams.
  • Manage the pricing and commercials on our lending programme, making recommendations on our strategy to the Product Lead.
  • Analyse the performance of our portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategy changes.
  • Build NPV and pricing optimization models to inform lending decisions, while understanding their inherent limitations.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in credit risk analysis in a consumer lending environment.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets using SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience in visualization and storytelling through data (Tableau experience is a plus).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including tech, data science, finance, and product.
