What will you be doing as an Assembly Operative?
- Preparing work to be assembled by studying assembly drawings, bills of materials, and parts lists, and gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Assembling components according to drawing specifications and ensuring conformity
- Conducting pressure testing and functional testing of assembled components
- Preparing finished parts for shipment to customers and preparing child parts for assembly, including polishing, local deburring, cleaning, and packaging
- Analysing and resolving assembly issues by notifying the Quality department
- Utilising standardised techniques, tools, and practices to contribute to product and process improvement efforts
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations
- Documenting work activities by completing production and quality forms
- Utilising computers to extract data and contributing to a teamoriented work environment
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and conducting testing in accordance with established procedures
What do you need?
- Previous experience in an engineering background
- Previous assembly experience
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Computer literacy
