Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in defining complex assembly manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with product design specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of bonding, shimming, mechanical fasteners, and multi-level assembly, particularly within an aerospace context. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with elements of mechanical, manufacturing, and materials, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define complex assembly manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with product design specifications.
  • Design manufacturing processes that meet or exceed customer demand, demonstrating necessary capacity and capability performance.
  • Create and validate standard operating procedures, work instruction sheets, quality control points, and methods of inspection.
  • Ensure effective plant, equipment, and tooling strategies are in place.
  • Plan, drive, and coordinate activities contributing to industrial product validation.
  • Evaluate risks of change and identify risk reduction actions via PFMEA.

Experience in complex assembly manufacturing processes, particularly within an aerospace context, is desirable. A thorough understanding of bonding, shimming, mechanical fasteners, and multi-level assembly is also highly desirable.
