Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in defining complex assembly manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with product design specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of bonding, shimming, mechanical fasteners, and multi-level assembly, particularly in an aerospace context. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with elements of mechanical, manufacturing, and materials, or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities- Define complex assembly manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with product design specifications.
- Design manufacturing processes that meet or exceed customer demand, demonstrating necessary capacity and capability performance.
- Create and validate standard operating procedures, work instruction sheets, quality control points, and methods of inspection.
- Ensure effective plant, equipment, and tooling strategies are in place.
- Plan, drive, and coordinate activities contributing to industrial product validation.
- Evaluate risks of change and identify risk reduction actions via PFMEA.
