Your day to day duties:
- Have regular conversations with those you manage, using the time to coach and support them
- Manage performance, providing regular feedback (strengths and developments)
- Be accountable for the budget, performance and results of your area
- Set direction and objectives in line with business strategy
Resource planning
- You'll adapt plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Balance the needs of customers, the business and people
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Be responsible for your people's engagement and communication
- Build best in class leadership of teams and foster a feedback and development culture, you'll need to adapt and flex your style to get the best out of others
- Work alongside your People Advisor to ensure the team is fully supported
- Be able to take ownership of your own performance and development
- Use and build on your coaching and mentoring skills to develop your team
- Be the face of your department within the contact centre when hosting and speaking with your external partners
Ideal e xperience for this role:
- Experience managing large customer facing teams
- Experience of working in a Contact centre
- An expert in communicating to large, busy, dynamic teams
- Brilliant at communicating business and performance to all business levels, in multiple mediums, from quarterly business reviews to small video workplace updates, providing clarity on purpose, rationale, action and results
- Strong commercial understanding
- Strong coaching, mentoring and training skills
- Strong analytical skills and effective use of data and reporting
- Strong IT and digital skills
