We are a dynamic and innovative primary healthcare provider, serving a population of approximately 12,000 patients in the historic town of Hythe. Our practice is part of a larger Primary Care Network, serving a population of around 48,000 people.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our successful team for 4-6 sessions per week. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for providing medical services to our practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the GMS contract.
Main Duties
• Work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population
• Deliver an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the GMS contract
• Adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice
• Contribute to the effective management of the practice
• Maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team
About the Role
We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, with a strong team spirit and a focus on patient care. Our practice has a clinical model that ensures our GPs are protected from burnout, and we typically follow the BMA recommendations on the number of daily clinical contacts with adequate protected time for administration.
We are advocates for Quality and Service Improvement and Primary care innovators, offering opportunities for growth and development by accommodating students in medicine and nursing. We are also a training site for FY2 doctors and one of our GPs has completed the educational supervisor training to support trainees on the vocational training scheme.
