Across the Partnership, we work with a broad spectrum of clients. Our work transcends the marketing mix, leading everything from social media or launch campaigns to DM and web build.


We also provide very senior strategic planning for clients, customer journey mapping and helping clients to envision their future business, beyond just communications.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Data Strategist will be a vital part of the customer team in the UK.

Working with a team of data, customer experience and customer engagement specialists, they will be responsible for delivering data projects for both prospective and existing clients and identifying opportunities to grow the clients business using their expertise and knowledge of data.nWe are looking for someone that has an eye for detail and a flair for imagination.

A data strategist who is able to spot opportunities and determine the optimal solution for a client based on a business problem.

They need to have the ability to know when to bring in other data specialists, be it analysts, channel specialists or technical experts.nMost importantly, they need to be able to develop relationships with clients and internal teams becoming trusted as a partner in developing the marketing and data driven strategies needed to evolve the business.


They will apply their experience and understanding of data tools and techniques to underpin their strategic recommendations and have the ability to translate business and sector needs of clients into data driven strategies.


At VCCP we focus on removing unnecessary jargon and complexity, therefore the data strategist needs to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be able to explain complex data solutions in a digestible and understandable manner.

They need to be able to build relationships, trust and develop connections both internally and with clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
nDevelop strong internal relationships with business stakeholders within the data department and across the wider PartnershipnUsing data tools, unlock insights and develop opportunities for clientsnCreation of insight led strategic presentationsnWriting briefs for data analysts and scientistsnReceive data reports, analyse and understand them and develop insight summaries and recommendations that can be applied in order to improve the client businessnCreate data storytelling - where the results shown are not just a spreadsheet of numbers, but a cohesive story that demonstrates effectively what the recommendations arenProactivity in work alongside internal strategic planning partners and seek necessary data to prove/ disprove hypotheses

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
EssentialnStrong experience working in agency/client side in a data strategy or data planning rolenExperience of developing measurement frameworks to meet the client objectivesnExcellent presentation and communication skillsnExperience of briefing analysis projects and working with analysts to produce recommendations and insight that drive client agendasnPreferred:nExperience in measuring, analysing and coming up with recommendations/ optimisations based on brand campaign performancenExperience in using Kantar / YouGov / ResearchBods / System1, to make informed decisions to drive effectivenessnDesirable:nExperience working across social and media projectsnExperience working with website analyticsnExperience of TGI/
