A bit of background
VCCP is a challenger agency for challenger brands. We have always challenged ourselves internally to develop our model and our offering.

It's this challenger spirit which led us to be ahead of our time with our internal production capabilities in VCCP.

The market has moved quickly, however, and plenty of other businesses are now fighting to produce the ideas and campaigns we develop, and often they claim to be able to do it cheaper, faster, and better.


A year ago we brought together our outstanding production capabilities, to create Girl&bear and in doing so we have created a contemporary and market-leading integrated 'making' offering.


For the capability to continue to be successful we need to always achieve a difficult task: continuously transform how we make ideas and improve quality whilst reducing costs so we can offer brilliant craft and value to our clients.

And make it easier and faster for our clients and people to work with us on making. Craft without compromise.


Although Girl&Bear is an exciting new offering from VCCP, with a different name, the principles of VCCP are absolutely appropriate, particularly: Be Proud, Be Agile, Be Lean, Be Unprecious.

The launch of G&B gives us the opportunity to rededicate ourselves to these and embrace the agency's entrepreneurial spirit.

The Role

Girl&Bear Post is where all of our Post Production work happens - it's the home of our production talent: producers, editors, motion graphics artists, etc. It's where we develop, test, experiment, and package ideas. It is easily accessible by creatives and strategists, and is also the home of our non-client output, offering access to a wide pool of post-production talent to work in our state-of-the-art facilities.


Working alongside our artist and MCR leader and supported by the
Studio Technology Manager, the
Head of Post Production will ensure that our post offering remains best-in-class, keeping up to date with all the latest technological developments.


The
Head of Post will be responsible for the whole department ensuring integration, cohesion, and harmony with producers, artists, resources & MCR.

Making sure department wow & workflows are fluid & adhered to when engaging the different disciplines within post.

They also communicate and bring to life the Girl&Bear Culture, vision, and values

They will be the front door for all things post, the go-to for new business and work coming into the department deciding together with our artist and MCR leader regarding what jobs should go where and with whom.

In addition, they will also line manage the post-producer & bookings teams.

Focusing in the first instance on building and integrating our London capabilities - introducing a totally new mindset to the newly formed team - one where every team member will know that they need to be challenging the industry traditions, and injecting modernity and new thinking into how we approach making.

You will manage annual reviews, career progression & development for these teams. Approve holidays & arrange cover when necessary, and implement HR and other agency policies.

Identify knowledge gaps and arrange training, coach and mentor the existing post producers and bookings team and recruit, induct and settle new staff.


They will also be responsible for: the successful running of our Girl&Bear Jungle sound studio and the overall commercial health of the Post Production Dept.


The
Head of Post Production will also support the Management team in promoting our new proposition in the market, both locally and globally.


Overall, a flourishing integrated, and innovative Post Production department with high standards of craft, which are more cost-effective, easier to work with, and faster for our clients and for our people.

In addition, the successful implementation of new ways of approaching Post-production.
