What to expect:


An exciting role has come up to work with Post Office Insurance, an integral part of Post Office; you will be responsible for leading the Protection product team in achieving continued growth through extensive development, relationship management and strategic initiatives, in a complex and developing regulatory environment.

The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day relationship with Insurers (and other product manufacturing partners as appropriate) for their product set.

They will also be accountable for the commercial output and own the product P&L.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery of the product strategy in line with wider insurance/group objectives
  • Accountable for the endtoend customer journeys
  • Accountable for the Trading agenda and delivering the financial performance in line with the targets set by the business
  • Accountable for the overall compliance and risk management of the Motor products
  • Responsible for daytoday management of strategic relationships with key partners, principally insurers and other product partners.
  • Identify and provide direction for innovative and compelling enhancements in support of POI commercial and customer objectives.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal, external and third party suppliers.
  • Work closely with the Product and Pricing Director to develop individual product propositions in line with the overall strategy.
  • As required, represent the Product and Pricing director in key internal/external meetings and at industry forums.
  • Support and provide direction to crossfunctional, crosscompany teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with any specific legislative, regulatory, or contractual requirements.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Seniorlevel experience in a consumer financial services organisation with a highly differentiated proposition enhanced by instore/branch experience and service.
  • Expert understanding of FCA regulation and proven ability to deliver growth in an environment where the customer is at the heart or all decisions.
  • Excellent customer focus and proven ability to drive a culture of exceptional service delivery.
  • Experience of shaping and implementing a robust and sustainable sales and service strategy.
  • Track record of highlevel engagement with a broad range of opinionated and influential stakeholders that can have a strong impact on the success of an enterprise.
  • Highly developed commercial skills; Commercial negotiation and contract management.
  • Data and processdriven, able to bring rigour and control to the sales function with a programmatic approach. This will be coupled with strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Proven delivery of P&L and key company performance financial targets.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
