Role Purpose:


As Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will work closely with the Head of People to develop and implement a total reward package of monetary and non-monetary benefits for all employees at Namene Solar.

Responsible for driving a holistic and comprehensive approach to employee rewards, you will work to understand the values each offering can bring encompassing well-being, benefits, recognition and development.


You will monitor market conditions and relevant government regulations to ensure our pay rates are current and competitive, using this information to maintain and develop pay levels for all employees across the company.

You will also be responsible for designing pay-for-performance plans including guidelines for bonuses and incentive pay, provide recommendations on commission rates and other incentives for sales teams.


To support this activity, you will employ analytical, database, and presentation software to draw conclusions, present findings and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board.


Role and responsibilities

  • Lead on the development of a fair, equitable and competitive company pay and benefits structure for the entire company.
  • Research and set pay scales, which define the minimum, midpoint, and maximum salary for different job roles.
  • Coordinate the operational processes to determine annual salary reviews, bonuses, and promotions.
  • Evaluate the requirement for costofliving adjustments.
  • Support the development of job descriptions and propose fair and competitive compensation for positions based on factors including duties and responsibilities, level of education and/or experience required, market rates amongst others.
  • Provide relevant financial data as Namene Solar develops its benefits packages, including retirement plans and health insurance.
  • Colead the annual compensation and benefits activities covering salary, discretionary bonus reviews and promotions.
  • Develop the compensation, analytics and dashboard resources for the Head of people to review, designing and updating salary ranges and structures as appropriate.
  • Take part in job evaluation, benchmarking and compensation structure design, working in partnership with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition

  • Monitor competitive salary rates to develop or modify compensation plans.
  • Make recommendations on the choice of external partners, such as benefits vendors, insurance brokers and investment managers.
  • Ensure that compensation and benefits plans comply with national and local regulations in each country, ensuring regular reviews are conducted to keep pace with any changes to legislation.
  • Oversee the distribution of compensation and benefits information to employees.
  • Prepare and operate within an agreed program budget.
  • Manage and administer Namene Solar's benefits program (e.g pension schemes, insurance policies etc).
  • Develop analysis and presentation materials to be delivered to stakeholder and leadership teams to support priority projects.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in HR Management, Business management or equivalent experience
  • Substantial experience in compensation and benefits within an international environment.
  • Experience of engaging and communicating effectively and persuasively at senior management level.
  • Knowledge of employment related rules and legislation as it relates to pay equity and parity.
  • Knowledge and experience of job evaluation
  • Data driven approach, employing sound analytical skills to evaluate information based on Namene Solar's specific needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to share complex information effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Additional skills

  • Knowledge of reward with a focus on benchmarking and compensation modelling
  • Indepth knowledge of different market benchmarking surveys.
  • Experience in effectively using compensation and analytics systems
  • Experience using data visualization tools (desirable)
  • Advance Microsoft and Powerpoint Skills.
