County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust invite applications for the position of Theatre Scrub Team Leader for our site at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

The departmental Practice Development team, in coordination with the Theatre Management team, support the staff members to identify and realise areas for career progression, both on an individual basis and also as a team approach to achieving their highest potential.

Develop work plans and allocate work, consistent with departmental objectives, ensuring these are realistic and achievable, taking into account multidisciplinary team members abilities and developmental needs.

Objectively assess the work of multidisciplinary team members, providing clear constructive feedback in a manner most likely to improve/maintain performance.

Participate in effective implementation of measures to combat these issues.
Monitor the standards of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

Be proactive with audit and monitoring of documentation to ensure that it is produced in accordance with Trust policy and also NMC/HCPC guidelines.

We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

To assess care needs, develop programmes of care and implement and evaluate these programmes of care, carrying out all relevant forms of peri-operative patient care without direct supervision over a 24 hour period, caring for both adult and paediatric patients undergoing routine and emergency surgery.

The care to be delivered in line with both local and national policies, procedures and guidelines.

Computer skills. Existing experience as a scrub practitioner.
