The role will also include telephone calls from clients and due to the nature of the service these can sometimes be distressing.

You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and accessible with a flexible approach to work.

The main duties of the job involves:

  • Processing referrals onto SystmOne
  • Opening and closing clients on SystmOne
  • Writing and sending out general letters
  • Booking initial assessments into the service
  • General maintenance of patient records
  • Attending weekly MDT meetings and taking minutes
  • Working closely with colleagues and multiagency professionals to support all queries
  • Providing administrative cover where required

What is Staff Bank?


Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.


All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.


If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.

In addition to the above duties you will also be expected to perform the below key activities in line with your job role;

  • The post holder must be competent in using IT systems and equipment and have relevant skills to carry out the activities required for the post.
  • The post holder will have access to confidential data on patients and services within the Trust and will be expected to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality at all times.
  • The post holder will be required to assess all risks to systems, processes and environment and contribute towards the clinical and corporate governance agenda, as appropriate.
  • The post holder will be expected to produce work to a high standard and to promote quality at all times.
  • The post holder will be expected to keep updated on all matters relating to Trust policy. The post holder must familiarise them self with matters relating to health and safety management as they affect them personally and/ or the Trust.

  • To participate in the staff supervision and appraisal process.
