Applecross is a family run care home. We care for elderly residents and also have three specialist units that care for younger people.

Since 1997, Applecross has provided expert care for people with physical disabilities and other illnesses that require short-term or long-term nursing support.

Recognising the unique needs of each individual, our highly trained and professional, caring staff aim to meet the needs of each person through a carefully designed and individualised care plan.


About The Role
Relevant experience is essential, as is the ability to compile social care plans for residents and maintain confidentiality. We'll also be looking for excellent interpersonal skills and a flair for prioritising a busy workload. Someone who's able to retain information and carry out instructions accurately, keeping accurate written records is important too.

Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more enjoyable and want to work in an environment where the work can be challenging, but also fun, fulfilling and rewarding.


You Must Be Able To

  • Create ongoing weekly activity programmes that ensure a wide range of opportunities are available to stimulate the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of all residents.
  • Coordinate staff to help in delivering activities, based on our residents' personal skills and interests
  • Ensure a life story and Wellbeing and Activity plan is in place for each resident and that the plan is regularly reviewed
  • Ensure adequate and uptodate risk assessments are in place for all events and activities planned and undertaken.
  • Understand the needs of people with the various conditions' residents have in the home.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Be computer literate and have sound knowledge of social media platforms
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
