Care Home Activities Coordinator

Springvale Care Home is seeking a dedicated and creative Activities Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging activities for our residents. As an Activities Coordinator, you will work closely with the Home Manager to develop and implement activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a range of activities, including events, programmes, and individual activities, to promote socialisation and engagement among residents.
- Work closely with the Home Manager to develop and implement activities that meet the needs and interests of residents.
- Encourage staff members, relatives, and friends to participate in activities and create a positive atmosphere within the care home.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities using appropriate documents.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of the needs and preferences of residents to ensure activities are relevant and engaging.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to develop and organise a range of events and activities.
- Friendly, creative, and confident with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Computer skills and ability to work on own initiative.
- Genuine interest in working with the elderly and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting their welfare.
