We currently have a great opportunity for a
Multi-Skilled Operative - FRA Fire Door Fitter to join our in-house Construction Company, Property Plus.

We're looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.

The Role


As a Multi-Skilled Operative in the Fire Risk Assessment Team, you will undertake the completion of fire door inspections in line with current regulations.

You will identify any remedials works required in accordance with good guidance for robustness and integrity - particularly around fire doors, door closers, hinges and door hardware.

You will be also responsible for the installation of fire doors as determined by inspection.

Skills and experience required:

  • Existing experience of working in a similar position with a sound knowledge base of fire remedial works.
  • Completion of nationally recognised trade qualification or an approved certificated qualification (or time experience)
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations, construction industry safety regulations, relevant British standards and codes of practice
  • Experience of a social housing repairs and maintenance environment.
  • Confidence when making technical decisions and fault finding particularly around fire remedials works
  • A competent joiner with the skills to fit or repair Fire Doors to regulations and required tolerances to a high standard of quality.
  • Outstanding customer care skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
