Job Summary

Pertemps Telford is seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Planned Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks, including wet trades, carpentry, and tiling, to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all traditional duties of a multi-skilled fitter, including wet trades, carpentry, and tiling, to an excellent standard.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and meet targets set out within the group's agreed timescales.
  • Keep materials usage to a minimum consistent with required quality standards and maintain good communication channels with Team Leaders and Managers.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with all Health and Safety at Work regulations and codes of practice.
  • Provide technical advice, suggestions, and recommendations, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the reputation of the company is maintained through a professional image and customer service.
  • Collect necessary van stock/goods from stock or from suppliers.
  • Ensure that all tools, vehicles, equipment, and plant used are kept in good, clean working order and serviced regularly.
Requirements
  • Completion of nationally recognized trade qualification or an approved certificated qualification (or time experience).
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations, construction industry safety regulations, relevant British standards, and codes of practice.
  • Experience of a social housing repairs and maintenance environment.
  • Multi-skilled experience, including completing different trade work.
  • Outstanding customer care skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
