Roehampton, South West London (some international travel may be

required)

Please note that we are currently working to a hybrid model of work which requires a mandatory
minimum of 3 days working in our office based in Roehampton, London.

International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the world governing body of tennis. Founded in 1913,
its purpose is to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the sport, delivering tennis for
future generations in association with its 213-member nations. The ITF oversees the rules and
regulations that govern international and national competition.

The ITF is responsible for the worldwide development of tennis through its highly regarded
Development Programme, its Science and Technical department which monitors equipment and
technology, and its Officiating department which oversees the education and advancement of
officials.

The ITF organises over 1,500 weeks of men's, women's and junior tournaments on the ITF World
Tennis Tour, and manages the ITF junior team competitions, ITF Beach Tennis Tour, UNIQLO
Wheelchair Tennis Tour and the ITF Seniors Circuit. The ITF is the owner and rightsholder of the
two largest annual international team competitions in tennis, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King by
Gainbridge, and manages the Olympic Tennis Event on behalf of the IOC. The ITF upholds the
highest standards of integrity and is a partner in the Tennis Integrity Unit

Overview of Department:

The Officiating team comprises of the Head of Department, Team Lead and Officiating
Coordinator, who provide support to over 2500 ITF certified & national officials worldwide. A key
focus for the department is the development of officials (in cooperation with the ITF Regional
Officiating Officers) through the ITF Officiating School Programme and Exchange Programme and
by providing comprehensive training to allow growth and progression on their officiating pathway.
The Certification and Recertification of officials is managed by the department, along with the
Officiating representatives of the ATP, WTA and Grand Slam Tournaments. The team also deals
with event assignments, evaluations for officials and rules & regulations.

The Role:

The Officiating Coordinator will work closely with colleagues within the Officiating department to
present a professional service internally within the ITF to all its departments and externally to

Regional and National Associations, the ATP and WTA, the Grand Slams and other tennis
organisations, events, and all officials worldwide.

The post-holder will work to the direction of the Head of Officials, Manager of Officiating and Head
of Officiating Compliance to achieve the objectives of the department that will include:

  • The day-to-day operation of the Officiating Department
  • Planning and problem solving
  • Working within agreed officiating budgets

Responsibilities:

Officiating Portal & Database:

  • Liaison with IT for development, maintenance and administration of:
  • ITF Officiating Portal (using CMS Umbraco)
  • CRM (central database of officials)
  • Liaison with ITF Circuits for regular updates
  • Managing the Officiating Proposal Forms for all ITF WTT Professional events
  • Respond to all user queries related to the ITF Officiating Portal
  • Streamline Portal navigation and manage design.
  • Create and publish new content/articles weekly for ITF Officiating Portal, covering a wide
range of topics.

  • Primarily manage the ITF Officiating inbox and ITF Officiating Fees inbox

Billie Jean King Cup & Davis Cup:

  • Main point of contact for officials designated to Billie Jean King Cup & Davis Cup events
  • Administration of designated Officials; travel, expenses and liaison with Event Operations
Department and Host Nations

  • Liaise with both Head of Officials and Head of Compliance on any issues being experienced

Finance and Accounts:

  • Expenses and invoice management
  • Review of monthly reports

Administration of Recertification Meetings:

  • Providing support to the Head of Officiating Compliance in the setup of the annual

General administration including:

  • Inbox management
  • Travel bookings
  • Evaluations database monitoring of certified and registered Officials evaluations
  • Answering general queries
  • Grand Slam/Olympics administration as required
  • Preparation of school material/shipmen
