HR Administrator

We are seeking a self-motivated HR Administrator to join a well-known client in Witney. The ideal candidate will be well-organised, conscientious, and capable of managing fluctuating work demands. This role would suit a strong administrator seeking their first role within a HR environment. This role offers hybrid working options after the initial training period and requires a minimum of 5 hours per day.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Maintain up-to-date personnel records, both electronic and hard copies.
  • Keep HR databases accurate and current.
  • Prepare induction packs and deliver induction training for new starters.
  • Process documentation for new starters and leavers.
  • Handle queries related to external platforms such as employee benefits and self-service systems.
  • Assist with the administration of employee training and absence records.
  • Conduct reference checks for potential new employees.
  • Manage long service awards information.
  • Update digital information screens as needed.
  • Support the payroll process by ensuring all information is correct and up-to-date.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
  • Undertake additional tasks as reasonably requested by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Commitment to confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing work demands.
  • Well-organised, conscientious, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in an HR Administrator role.
  • Ability to analyse data and create reports.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels within the business.
