Position Summary:
nThe Sr.
Commercial Manager will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team and our expansion within EMEA.
The Sr.Commercial Manager will own and lead the RFP & competitive bid processes, the negotiation of contracts with contractors & suppliers, conduct cost analysis, and making strategic product decisions for projects ranging in scope and complexity for assigned projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
nOwn and lead the RFP response and competitive bid processes for projects within EMEA, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of Customer RFPs to develop a competitive submission to continue to grow the execution pipeline.nLead the Customer and sub-contractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services, and EPC contracts by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.nDevelop key requirements for RFPs to sub-contractors and evaluate the bid results.nResponsible for bid analysis and modelling to support the strategic procurement process.nWork with supply chain to capture competitive intelligence and generate insights on supply chain and BESS landscape.nInteracts with external parties including Customers, vendors, and potential suppliers.nActively identify opportunities to improve business processes and support the implementation of such.nEnsure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.nProvide contract support to the Project's team during contract execution.
Qualifications &Requirements:
nBachelor's degree in either Business, Engineering, Management, Finance, or Economics or related field degree.nCommercial contract negotiation and RFPs management experience for equipment supply in the energy sector.nProficient at aggregating and understanding and responding to requirements and information as part of the RFP process.nProven experience in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to optimize a response and the decision-making process.nProficient with Microsoft Office applications and CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.nFluent in English in speaking and writing.
Fluency in Spanish / German is favourable.nEnthusiasm for working with Customers and suppliers.nStrong "intrapreneurial" mindset for process analysis, problem solving and strategy development skills.nAbility to take critical decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data and under time pressure.nWillingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation periods.nExcellent communication skills and confidence with executive level presentationsnDemonstrated teamwork skills and proven leadership skills in virtual project teams.nAbility to manage multiple complex activities simultaneously.nDedicated to details while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
