Hours:48 or 36 hour contracts, both day & night shifts

About our services
Eastholme is a well established 5 bed residential home for people with Learning Disabilities and some challenging behavior. The home is in a great location, minutes from the seafront. The home currently supports 5 ladies with varying needs, there is elements of personal care and physical activity. Each of the ladies have individual needs and they all love to be out and about enjoying their surroundings. Be prepared for lots of fun, activities, days out and empowering people to live life to their best.

About you
Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?

You will need to be adaptable, flexible, with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of our team

Ideally you will:

  • Have previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, although not essential as all training will be provided
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in Health & Social Care

The role

  • To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone's individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Create nutritious wellbalanced menus using fresh, quality and seasonal produce. The menus will meet all dietary requirements and be created in consultation with the people they support, relatives and staff.
  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping and domestic duties.
  • As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
