Job Title: Regional Technical Manager

Location: Midlands and South

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 + Car Allowance

Company Sector: Facilities Management (M&E Bias)

I am excited to collaborate once more with this company as their FM, Property, and Estates team continues to expand in alignment with the company's growth strategy. The Technical Manager role involves overseeing a significant property portfolio that accommodates students. As part of the team, you will be responsible for establishing long-term Asset and Lifecycle programs for all buildings, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with Operations teams in various cities.

About the role:

The Regional Technical Manager will strategically guide the business in addressing non-reactive technical project works, aligning PPM services, and managing large-scale latent defects across the portfolio. Responsibilities also include overseeing key capital projects, refurbishment schemes, and providing leadership in total Facilities Management delivery. Preferably, candidates will showcase expertise in either electrical or mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical expertise and leadership for defect and project management of major projects.
  • Engage and contribute to the development of Estates and Facilities business plans.
  • Provide leadership for the city team on all M&E services.
  • Lead on-site projects, managing third parties to address latent defects.
  • Ensure all documentation and warranties are submitted upon project completion.
  • Provide technical support during mobilization processes of new builds, acquisitions, and refurbishments.
  • Engage with development and acquisition teams to ensure compliance for future mobilizations.
  • Review handover documentation, certification, and asset collection for maintenance strategies.
  • Act as the on-site link among defect contractors, Estates and Facilities, and City operational teams.
  • Provide monthly project status reports to line managers.

Key Requirements:

  • 5-7 years' experience in a similar property role.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • BS degree in M&E Building Services or equivalent.
  • Recognized relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in building construction and mechanical/electrical installations.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in project management within budget and time constraints.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Clean driving license.

This is an ideal opportunity to join a burgeoning company and become part of a team with exceptional leadership, promising excellent career advancement.
