Main Purpose of the Job/Key Objectives:
Assist the Personalization Manager in setting up and managing Direct Payments.
Work with Service Users or their representatives as needed, providing comprehensive information, advice, and guidance to help them manage their direct payments effectively.
Adhere to and enforce the Direct Payments Guidance, following procedures for its implementation, and escalate issues requiring management decisions appropriately.
Conduct assessments with individuals to determine their suitability as direct payees and the support they may need to manage direct payments.
Maintain all relevant documentation and administration systems related to each service user, including data entry into the electronic recording system.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the card payments system, ensuring familiarity with the required practices and protocols for monitoring through the system.
In high-risk cases, liaise with operational colleagues to agree on a resolution.
Provide excellent customer service as part of a front-line team, ensuring that service users receive appropriate information in accessible formats promptly.
Keep up to date with changes to social care policies and adhere to new procedures.Provide advice to service users regarding any financial changes to their Direct Payment, ensuring they are informed of their budget.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems to ensure accurate financial data recording.Requirements:
Experience
- Experience working with numerical data and possessing strong literacy skills, as well as providing information, advice, and support to members of the public.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and handling telephone enquiries from the public.
- Previous experience working in social care and familiarity with Liquid Logic and ICT programs.
- Skilled in interpreting and preparing technical data, including recordkeeping and report writing.
