Description of business unit:


The NI Business Direct team is responsible for the sale of business customer products and the processing of lending requirements conducted via the direct phone channel in the local market place.


Purpose of the Role:


This role services Small Business and Agri customers across Northern Ireland with Lending, supporting, maintaining and growing the customer base by improving the opportunities available.

In addition the NI Business Direct team provides tailored support for products and customers in the NI Small Business segment.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Be a key member of our Business Direct Team and collaborate with colleagues to deliver an outstanding customer service in a way that embodies our value.
  • Keep up to date with Policies & Procedures and ensure compliance with all Regulatory, Operational & Conduct Risk Management requirements for your role.
  • Proactively take responsibility for leading your own performance levels in a manner that delivers successful performance across the key performance areas.
  • Focus on key satisfaction areas such as Right First Time and understand the implications and impacts of your own decisions on our customers and other business areas.
  • Actively support the Business Direct Manager in generating positive engagement and contributing to a successful team.

What is the opportunity ?**:


This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of the Small Business & Agri sector across Northern Ireland and to engage with existing and new-to-bank customers and work in partnership with colleagues across the branch and business banking teams, UK and Group Manufacturing to deliver a seamless service to our customers.


This 12 month contract can be done anywhere in the UK with the primary office location as Bank of Ireland, Omagh Business Centre, Omagh, Co Tyrone to which travel will be required.

Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Please note you must live in the jurisdiction for the business to which you are contracted.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Relationship management experience with ability to build strong rapport via phone channel.
  • Strong evidence of the ability to follow banks processes and procedures and compliance requirements with a high level of accuracy i.e. credit management
  • Evidence of a collaborative approach in working with other front line teams and key partners in the achievement of business strategic objectives.
