Based at the Council Civic Offices in Swadlincote, with the potential for limited homeworking when fully trained. Hours of work will be between 8.45am pm Monday to Friday with flexibility required.


As the first point of contact based within the Customer Contact Centre, you will deal with a wide range of enquiries from customers via all channels with telephone being the most extensive form of contact.

Whilst being a confident and hard-working individual, you must also have the ability to work as part of a team in a pressurised environment, remaining calm at all times.

Excellent customer service and organisational skills are therefore essential for this role.


A good current working knowledge of council tax including recovery of arrears and/or housing benefits legislation/welfare benefits is also essential.
