An outstanding Alternative Provision in Swindon is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant specialized in Mental Health and Behaviour to join them promptly or in September.


  • The alternative provision supports youngsters who have been expelled from regular schooling or are in a transitional phase before being placed in a specialized environment.
  • Many students have encountered trauma, possess special educational needs, face behavioral issues, and tackle other mental health obstacles.

This role will entail guiding, teaching, and aiding young individuals who encounter difficulties in accessing education.


This is a remarkable opportunity for a university graduate or a skilled teaching assistant to broaden their expertise in Special Educational Needs and Behavioral Requirements.


An applicant with a 2:2 or higher degree and some background working with SEN youngsters would be an ideal fit for this role.


The position of Mental Health & Behaviour Teaching Assistant will involve working on a one-on-one basis with children experiencing mental health issues, demonstrating challenging behavior, and having learning impairments such as ASD.


Degrees in fields like Psychology, Criminology, and Health & Social Care would be particularly valued.


If you are self-assured, passionate, and committed to nurturing the potential of every child, then this role of Mental Health & Behaviour Teaching Assistant is tailored for you.


Preferably, you should possess exceptional behavior management abilities and be open to receiving restraint training.



Salary: £80 to £90 per day
