Connect2Kent is offering a fantastic chance for experienced Residential Support Workers to join a new Children's Home in Ashford, Kent.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide direct care to children by engaging them in stimulating activities, encouraging them to express their feelings, and supporting their choices. The role involves attending appointments, helping children learn English, and ensuring their well-being.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in daily handover meetings to understand tasks for the shift.
  • Assist in welcoming and orientating new arrivals.
  • Accompany children to appointments using company vehicles.
  • Book follow-up appointments and submit reports for quality assurance.
  • Contribute to Child in Care reviews and complete Incident Reports when necessary.
  • Engage children in learning activities and promote self-expression.
  • Deputise for Children's Home Managers when needed.
  • Promote equality and professional behavior.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People or higher.
  • Experience in caring for children or young people, especially in a residential setting.
  • Familiarity with working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and Children's Home regulations.
