About the Role:
As the Senior Manager for OA Projects, you play a crucial role in Springer Nature's OA transformation, optimizing and expanding the OA business. Leading a global team of project specialists, you will implement new OA initiatives, policies, and models in alignment with organizational objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Implementation: Oversee new OA business initiatives, policies, and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global team of project specialists, fostering a high-performing environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive project implementation.
- Analysis and Reporting: Monitor project performance and provide reports to senior management.
- Understanding SN processes and structure: Develop a solid understanding of organizational processes, systems, and their impact on projects.
- Continuous improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Project Expertise: Provide project and process expertise to support strategic decision-making.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Essential
- Proven experience in managing complex business projects and working with stakeholders globally.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, along with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of publishing workflows and open access business models.
- Degree or equivalent work experience.
Desirable
- Formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2.
