Exciting Opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker in Lancashire
About the Service:
Barnardo's is dedicated to providing supported accommodation to young individuals aged 16-24 in Lancashire. The service aims to equip them with the necessary skills and confidence for independent living. Our team works around the clock to support young people from diverse backgrounds, including those in care or transitioning from homelessness.
Location:
Barnardo's Supported Accommodation Services are located at 2a High Street, Lancaster.
This service offers short-term housing and support to vulnerable young people aged 16-25, including a shared house in Lancaster for young individuals aged 18-25.
Working Pattern:
Full-time position with shifts from 21:45pm – 8:15am, providing 24/7 support 365 days a year.
Starting Salary:
Starting salary of £23,920 per annum with opportunities for growth within our pay and reward framework.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with Young People and/or vulnerable adults
- Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
- IT literacy for accurate data recording
- Passion for working with young individuals
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Providing lone awake night support
- Safeguarding young individuals within the service
- Enforcing house rules and standards
- Building positive relationships with young residents
- Completing housekeeping tasks
- Conducting morning handovers
The successful candidate will undergo training in various areas and will be encouraged to develop their skills through involvement in different service activities.
