Job Description

Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Service Overview: Barnardo's is a leading children's charity that provides a range of services for vulnerable children and young people. Our Family Residential Centre in Market Harborough is a specialist service that provides a safe and supportive environment for families with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users to promote their independence, wellbeing, and capabilities.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support package.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
