Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker

Barnardo's is seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Waking Night Support Worker at our Family Residential Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to families with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to provide a safe and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve within the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
