Job summary

An exciting opportunity has risen for a Administrative Apprentice to join The Oaks Medical Centre role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in administration and office support.

Main duties of the job

The role includes working within 2-3 of our different departments - including Data Entry, Admin and Recall.

You will be contacting patients on a daily basis as well as completing coding tasks and adding information to patients records.

AtThe Oaks Medical Centre we have 64 members of staff which include GP's,Nurses,Paramedics, Physicians Associates, Management Team, Receptionist, Prescribers,Data and Admin team and Secretary teams.

Weare also part of KEN PCN, meaning we also have PCN staff working here such as,physician associates, care coordinators etc.

Job responsibilities

Duties of this job role includes:

Admin

Patient maintenance - including registering patients, de-registering patients, signing patients up for services and changing their personal information at request. Completing actions from tasks & scanned documents Distributing results to the appropriate clinician Helping other members of staff with queries, such as printer problems etc. Answering calls from patients Requesting patients notes from out sourced companies

Data Entry

Document management- including processing documents, sorting and date stamping post and forwarding the documents to the most appropriate doctor or team. Calculating patient Blood Pressure readings Read Coding the information into practice system

Recall

Booking in patients for their long-term condition via calling, texting and or letter Ensuring all tests are included in this appointment or have the relevant tests before the LTC appointment. Confirming all pre-booked appointments. Updating the central QOF sheet with all actions that have been completed, for each patient. Inputting relevant information and codes in to patient records.
