ABOUT THE POSITION

The Role of Strategic Key Account Manager entails building and enhancing relationships with up to three Regional Key Accounts in the EMEA region. These key accounts have ambitious plans that will revolutionize the energy sector in Europe and beyond. As the Strategic Key Account Manager, your primary objective is to support them with top-notch insights, products, and solutions to help them achieve their objectives.

  • Strengthen the Customer Relationship:
    • Serve as the main point of contact at Fluence for the customers, irrespective of their location or business stage.
    • Cultivate enduring strategic relationships with customers founded on trust and mutual understanding. Foster a broad network across various functions and geographies.
    • Participate in key account events, seminars, and industry movements to gather valuable insights that keep Fluence ahead of the competition.
    • Implement a structured account management program with customers, including regular business reviews and follow-ups.
    • Aid in negotiating framework agreements to facilitate efficient scaling with customers.
  • Deliver Insights & Transparency:
    • Conduct deep dive sessions with different teams to provide transparency and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Collaborate with customers on continuous improvement initiatives and aligned product strategies.
    • Understand the customer's business landscape and work with the Growth team to provide additional insights.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling additional services to customers.
  • Internal Collaboration:
    • Ensure alignment across business units, regions, and functions. Collaborate with various departments to provide seamless support to customers.
    • Work closely with Sales, Deal Teams, Marketing, Customer Solutions, and Product departments to deliver ongoing value to customers.
    • Identify areas for improvement in the account management and sales processes and drive necessary initiatives.
  • Financial:
    • Develop performance objectives, sales targets, and strategies for advancing account performance and financial goals.
    • Establish revenue goals that drive the accounts' performance and align with the business's financial objectives.
    • Formulate customer growth plans and troubleshoot performance gaps to drive outstanding initiatives.
What We Look For in an Ideal Candidate:
  • Extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in energy storage and power markets across major European regions.
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience with at least 3 years in account management within a dynamic business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business management, engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting customer expectations and exceeding sales targets.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications for creating engaging reports and presentations.
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and integrity-driven.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
