The Role:

  • We are in search of experienced Behavior Support Assistants for SEND Schools situated in Camden, Northwest London. Your role will involve supporting students individually who require academic and social development assistance.
  • These students have faced challenges in mainstream education and require a positive learning environment. Most pupils do not have an EHCP and have conditions like ADHD or SEMH. Join a team focused on delivering a tailored curriculum and addressing behavior to meet each student's needs for a successful educational journey.

The setting is demanding, requiring a resilient individual ready to tackle challenges and gain valuable experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Capable of working with groups or providing 1:1 support in the classroom.
  • Supporting students with Complex Needs, Autism, Learning Difficulties, and challenging behavior.

  • Encouraging, engaging, and supporting students in their learning and development.

The School:

The school caters to students aged 11 to 16, referred from local boroughs. Many staff members are trained in team teach techniques.

They seek candidates to work closely with students individually or in small groups, requiring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and specialize in supporting SEND students.

You must have:

  • Prior experience working with children with SEN, Autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
  • A dedication to continuous professional growth.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the specialized curriculum area and effective teaching methods.
