  • After School Club hours are from 3.00pm until 5.30pm. We require additional staff for each session on a regular basis and also casual supply staff to cover absences. Working days and hours will be discussed in interview.
  • Job purpose:
  • To assist with the running of Durrington Infant and Junior School's After School Club.
  • To maintain a safe and stimulating play environment and to assist with developing opportunities which encourage children's social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play.
  • Be responsible to the club supervisor and to the head teachers.
  • Job duties:
  • Provide full care for the children, including the safe delivery and collection of the children to and from school and safe delivery of the children to their parents or named carers
  • Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and enjoy working with children.
  • Planning and delivering creative, appropriate play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
  • Preparing and serving refreshments for each child, observing hygiene rules and nutrition as well as individual children's needs
  • Administer first aid as appropriate
  • Follow guidelines and procedures for safeguarding in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Be flexible and able to work as part of a team
  • Be able to communicate effectively with adults and children
