About the Role

As Vendor Relationship Manager at Reuters , you will:

Negotiate with data providers to bring high quality data into the organization on the best possible terms, and ensuring clear alignment with Reuters' revenue forecasts. Develop new relationships and grow existing ones with suppliers, whilst maintain regular and close contact with key stakeholders inside the organisation. Advise internal and external customers on data use rights - proactively and in response to specific requests. Liaise with and provide support to other staff and business units on relationships, contract terms, etc. Monitor and provide cost/use case scenarios for data providers. Act as a subject matter expert for Data Acquisition-related issues, be in tune with market and data developments across industry. Help define, create and then manage a database for all partner and vendor contracts.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Vendor Relationship Manager at Reuters if you have:

Demonstrable experience in an account management, vendor management or delivery role in the market data space. Experience of understanding and drafting legal terms, within contract management setting, ideally in a financial market data or aligned setting. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work with other teams and our customers to gather requirements, define a content acquisition strategy (including making trade-offs) and recommending prioritisations to ensure we remain within our data budget. An interest in global financial markets, exchanges and instruments. The ability to think both creatively and strategically. You'll be comfortable making decisions and will be able to communicate sometimes complex issues to stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. The ability to understand internal use cases as the major influence in your decision making Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with great analytical and problem-solving skills.
