We are seeking a highly experienced commercial lawyer to support the growth of relationships between Reuters and its clients and partners in a fast-evolving, global environment. As Senior Counsel for Reuters, you will be responsible for negotiating media licensing and partnership deals, providing timely and practical advice on legal issues across the media business, and ensuring compliance with the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Substantial post-qualification experience negotiating media licensing deals and advising clients in news/media/information/technology industries.
  • The ability to advocate for the interests of business partners in commercial disputes.
  • Depth and breadth of experience in acting in intellectual property matters, especially copyright, including experience counselling on enforcement of IP rights.
  • Adaptability and the ability to contribute to areas outside core expertise.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines and demands in a fast-paced environment.
