Role Overview

As the Lead Legal Advisor at Reuters, you will be instrumental in fostering relationships between Reuters and its clientele in a swiftly changing global environment. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Negotiating media licensing and partnership contracts
  • Providing clear legal insights on media-related challenges
  • Assisting stakeholders in evaluating new technologies from a legal perspective
  • Ensuring adherence to Thomson Reuters Trust Principles
  • Monitoring legal trends affecting news and media organizations worldwide
Candidate Profile
  • Active practicing attorney with relevant bar admission or practicing certificate
  • Significant experience in negotiating media licensing agreements and advising within the news, media, and technology sectors
  • Strong advocacy capabilities in commercial litigation
  • Expertise in intellectual property issues, particularly copyright
  • Flexibility and readiness to contribute beyond primary areas of expertise
  • Robust work ethic, with the ability to operate independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
