We are looking for an innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic Team Leader to work in our Community mental health services in Mid Sussex.
This post is located in Linwood, Haywards Heath, which together with our East Grinstead base forms Mid Sussex Assessment and Treatment Service.
Haywards Heath is commutable from Brighton and London.
As an experienced practitioner in the mental health field, with a qualification in either mental health nursing, occupational therapy or social work, you will provide guidance, supervision and leadership to our well functioning, committed and compassionate ATS team, alongside an established leadership group of senior colleagues.
Creativity is encouraged; recent examples include our dedicated duty worker role, Specialist Transition Practitioner role, monthly 'Learning from Serious Incidents' team meetings and currently the development of an autism friendly space in the building.
Staff wellbeing is of central importance in the trust and remains at the forefront of our ongoing agenda within the MDT leadership team.
We are committed to the promotion of excellent professional standards by embedding professional practice within the Trust clinical governance structures and we facilitate continuing professional development by a range of support structures.
Regular team development days, weekly wellbeing walks, monthly bitesize training sessions and staff social events all contribute to a cohesive, stable and friendly team.
Management of referrals including delivery of care
Performance monitoring and management
Line Management and supervision of staff.
- Ensure that a culture of effective risk management is present in the team
- To carry a clinical caseload as agreed with service manager and to take a lead on management of complex cases and supporting staff in management of such cases.
- To ensure that the team functions in line with the care group core business.
- To coordinate recruitment and selection of staff within the team, leading on decisions as designated by the service manager.
- To respond to SUIs as appropriate and support any subsequent investigation
- To respond to SVAs as appropriate
- To respond to complaints
- To respond to communications regarding team issues
