Located in Christchurch, Nazareth Care is a fully accredited, not-for-profit organisation and home to 80 residents in Sydenham . Co-located with our 70 villa Retirement Community, Nazareth House provides excellence in person centred and clinical care, with respect and compassion for all- Aged Care from the heart. We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Financial Administrator / Accountant to join our friendly team on a Full Time basis. Reporting into the CFO, the role will see you proving financial assistance in reporting, audit support, budgeting and debtors/creditors across NZ entities, responsibilities including but not limited to: Te Mahi/About the Position:
  • Partnering with the Facility and Retirement Village managers.
  • Maintaining financial records for the House and Retirement Village
  • Managing debtors and creditors, following up where needed
  • Recording resident details, ensuring the database is up to date
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements
  • Processing invoices, sales/purchases and relinquishments
  • Financial Reporting to the Board, Facility Manager and RV Manager
  • Identifying cash flow irregularities and improvements
  • Developing financial budgets, audits and forecasts
  • Ensuring that residents are billed and direct debit/payments receipted
He momo/About you:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Business or Accounting qualifications preferred
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Sector highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of statutory legislation, regulation and accounting principles
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
