About The Role:


Working within the Technology division of Motability Operations, the Digital Workplace Services Lead is responsible for driving the digital workplace strategy for our offices, employees, and guests.

Leading a team of technical experts this role will provide the vision, implementation, and support of digital workplace solutions that provide engaging & productive user experiences in a hybrid working environment.


Working environments span remote working, office-based desks, meeting rooms, conference rooms, and collaboration spaces with office locations in London, Bristol, Edinburgh, and Coalville.


The Digital Workplace Services team will collaborate closely with teams such as IT Service Centre, Infrastructure, Facilities, and Marketing whilst establishing relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and executives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and deliver on the strategic vision for the digital workplace, aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritise initiatives, and create roadmaps.
  • Represent Technology within workplace related projects such as new offices, relocations, and refurbishments.
  • Understand business requirements, develop options, plan, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Champion usercentric design principles to enhance employee experiences, accessibility, and usability

Service Delivery, Support, and Change Management:

  • Delivery of digital workplace services, including end-user support, device management, and collaboration tools.
  • Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvements.
  • Lead change initiatives related to digital workplace tools and processes.
  • Communicate updates, train users, and manage resistance.

Technology Management

  • Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimisation of digital workplace technologies:
  • Conference &

Meeting Rooms:
Audio Visual, Video Conferencing, Telepresence.

  • Technologies: Teams, Surface Pro/Hub, Slack, Creston, HP Laptops, MacBooks etc.
  • Desk Solutions: Monitors, Keyboards, Cameras, Connectivity (Laptops, Peripheral etc.)
  • Digital Signage Solutions: Office Receptions, Floors, & Common Areas etc.
  • Collaborate with IT Service Centre and Infrastructure teams to deliver & support:
  • Collaboration Tooling: Microsoft Teams, Slack etc.
  • End User Devices: iPhones, Windows Laptops, MacBook Laptops etc.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure digital workplace services comply with security policies and regulations.
  • Implement appropriate access controls, encryption, and data protection measures.
  • Contribute to security awareness training for employees.

Supplier Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend changes as needed.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital workplace services.
  • Regularly report on service metrics, user satisfaction, and adoption rates.

Team Leadership:

  • Day to day management and technical leadership of the Digital Workplace Services Team.
  • Mentor and foster a team culture of service excellence.
  • Identify and put in place any necessary skills & personal development.
  • Establish an available onsite presence for adhoc and walkup employee requests.
  • Manage conflict with integrity, fairness, and a positive attitude.

Stakeholder & Executive Management:

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders and executives.
  • Establish a reputation of service excellence & reliability.

Minimum criteria

  • Experience providing team and technical leadership.
  • Exceptional customer service, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent judgement, decisionmaking & influencing skills.
  • Innovative and solutionfocused with strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • You are curious and keep yourself updated with the latest IT industry trends.
  • Demonstrable experience identifying business opportunities to enhance productivity.
  • Supplier, contract, and budget management experience.
  • Strong technical experience with AV/VC equipment, Telepresence, and collaboration software such as Crestron, Teams, Zoom.
