This great opportunity offers a unique route to achieving a BSc (Hons) Degree in Business Management whilst working to gain the necessary skills and leadership experience required for you to begin your successful management career within one of the UK's leading hotel groups.

To gain a clear grasp of the Hotel operation, over your first two years, you will rotate between key operational departments spending 6 months in each department.

You will then select the department you wish to develop your career further within your third year. In year four, you will progress into Assistant Head of Department or Head of Department.

As Management Apprentice, you will play a key role in within the team, using your passion for excellent customer care to motivate and support those around you and exceed guests' expectations you will:

Responsibilities

  • Attend University 1 day per week for 4 years.
  • Participating in ongoing training development to develop personal and professional skills.
  • Ensure the smooth day to day running of the operational area you are assigned in line with Apex Brand Standards.
  • Anticipate guests' needs whenever possible to exceed expectations.
  • Support relevant Department Head in the smooth onboarding of our people and timely delivery of operational skills training to ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing and leading hotel specific projects in line with Business Management Curriculum
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports on matters related to projects to senior management.
  • Demonstrate behaviours reflective of Apex Family Values.

Personal Characteristics and Competencies:

  • You will have a passion for the hospitality industry with a desire to progress to a managerial position within the next 5 years.
  • You will have the required qualifications to gain entry to the degree level course or be expected to gain these from exams currently being undertaken. For example, a Modern Apprenticeship in a relevant area (SCQF Level 6), OR, A Foundation Apprenticeship in a relevant area and two Highers (English, Maths preferred), OR 4 Highers at Grade B or above.
  • You will demonstrate full commitment to managing the demands of fulltime employment and academic study.
  • You will have good communication and IT skills relevant to the role and be ambitious to develop these skills.
  • You will bring your own personality to work to ensure exceptional guest service
  • You will have excellent customer care skills to deal with guest complaints in a calm and positive manner and bring to a suitable conclusion
  • You will have previous experience of setting high performance standards.
