Medical Receptionist

Reception is the central point for both patients and clinicians, so the ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure and think on your feet is essential.

The post is Monday to Friday. You will usually work and alternate weeks. You will occasionally be required to swap shift or work extra shifts to cover absences.

Experience working in a GP Practice is not essential as full training will be given.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Confident with IT
  • Experience dealing with the public
  • Good telephone manner and smart appearance
  • Flexible to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm as required.

CORE DUTIES

  • Arranging appointments, processing prescriptions, scanning mail
  • Signposting patients to the appropriate health care professional
  • Dealing with all patient enquires
  • Undertaking administrative tasks required by GP including phoning ambulance, sending referrals

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 25 per week

Salary:
£11.16-£12.18 per hour
