CS - Support Worker - Young People

We are looking for experienced youth support workers to provide care and support to a variety of young people, helping to develop their life skills for their futures. As a youth support worker, patience will be key as you adjust your approach to get the best out of the young people under your care.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Working as part of a team to create a supportive environment.
- Handling challenging situations in a calm and measured manner.
- Using your personality to bring smiles to those within the service.
- Providing emotional support as and when required.
- Taking an active role in the hobbies and pastimes of the residents to keep them engaged.
The role will initially be on a temporary block booking basis but will have permanent opportunities for those who truly shine
In order to apply for this you must have the following:
- NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in residential childcare.
- A minimum of 3 months of referenceable experience working within a residential childcare setting.
- Valid mandatory training documents relevant to the support of young people / children (ie. safeguarding of vulnerable children etc.)
- An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 3 months or registered on the update service with checks against "DBS Children's Barred List information"
You will be paid between £12.00 to £12.50 per hour, dependent on the hours worked.
