The Process Technologist position is ideal for individuals holding a degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemistry, coupled with experience in manufacturing or R&D, or a relevant PhD.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee New Product Development for MFT (Manufacturing Technology) stage gate processes.
  • Champion the transition to a digitalized approach in our technical activities, enhancing capabilities through lab rig automation and data-driven reactions.
  • Enhance the understanding of current products and processes, including cost structures and bill of materials.
  • Demonstrate creativity and apply external knowledge to your projects and processes.
  • Coordinate the work of lab-based colleagues contributing to MFT.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and universities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as the liaison with Technology and the plants to drive technology implementations and process enhancements.
  • Ensure process scalability, support plant trials at external parties, and offer technical insights for efficient root cause analysis.

Key Requirements

  • Solid background in process and chemistry, particularly in organic and polymer fields, along with familiarity with statistical methodologies.
  • Proficiency in research and leveraging existing knowledge.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are vital.
  • Effectively communicate project plans and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize effectively, and make timely decisions.
  • Apply critical thinking and a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in manufacturing plants is a plus.
  • Background in project management and leadership is beneficial.
  • Foreign language skills are advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques for product and process development is preferred.
