Job Summary:

McLaren Health Care is a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure a comfortable and confident experience.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain all assigned imaging department equipment, including tomography scanner equipment.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to capture high-quality images.
  • Medication Administration: Properly identify, prepare, and administer medications within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Certified as a CT Technologist or willing to cross-train from another ARRT modality within 12 months.
  • Experience: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology and certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CT Certification: Certified as a CT Technologist.
