Job Summary:

McLaren Health Care is a fully integrated healthcare network committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality radiographs of specific areas, consistent with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence in patients.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain all assigned imaging department equipment, including tomography scanner equipment.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
  • Medication Administration: Properly identify, prepare, and/or administer medications within the technologist's scope of practice, as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Certified as a CT Technologist or cross-trained from another ARRT modality to become CT Certified within 12 months.
  • Experience: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology and certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification: Certified as a CT Technologist.
