Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality CT scans of patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure a comfortable and confident experience.
  • Operate and maintain CT scanner equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, explaining the process and positioning them correctly for accurate imaging.
  • Administer medications within your scope of practice, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a CT Technologist or willingness to cross-train from another ARRT modality within 12 months.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
  • Certification in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a CT Technologist.
