We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality CT scans of patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure a comfortable and confident experience.
- Operate and maintain CT scanner equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, explaining the process and positioning them correctly for accurate imaging.
- Administer medications within your scope of practice, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a CT Technologist or willingness to cross-train from another ARRT modality within 12 months.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
- Certification in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Current BLS certification.
- Certification as a CT Technologist.
