Position Summary

Exchange Sales and Business Line Management

Senior Manager to work within the Xpansiv Commodities team. The Commodities team sits at the heart of the Xpansiv growth strategy and is responsible for sales of CBL, EMA and Data, product development and maintenance, pricing/fee structures, prioritizing trading technology initiatives, and leading efforts with strategic partners. This is an opportunity to have a near- and long-term impact on European and global carbon markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Focusing on growing the current customer base for the Xpansiv CBL Markets transactional business, EMA and Data business. Primarily focusing on the global carbon markets but with exposure to the company's broader suite of ESG commodities.
  • The role will require the individual to develop and run a targeted growth plan within EMEA and work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to roll out new products and service offerings to current and new client ecosystems.
  • This position will identify and prioritise key players, top targets, and corresponding opportunities for growth in line with broader Company growth objectives - and develop strategies and tactics to capitalise on these growth opportunities. Coordination and alignment with the company's entire global sales teams on overall sales strategy and activities are essential.
  • Offer in-depth knowledge of the Company's products and services to the targeted customer segments. Generate new customer business by educating existing and prospective customers about the benefits and opportunities the Company's products.
  • The candidate will need strong analytical skills and the ability to engage at all levels within a client's organisation chart. They will manage their allocated client accounts effectively, ensuring that they are in regular contact with their accounts, and act as the first point of contact at Xpansiv for them.
  • Work comprehensively in Salesforce to manage tasks and information updates relating to their accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with other divisions within the Company (e.g., Onboarding Teams, Market Operations, IT, Product Marketing, etc.) to help develop our markets and support our customers' requirements.
  • Identify, plan and participate in conferences, events, and international forums that promote the maturation of the global carbon markets.
  • Some domestic and global travel will be required to support sales and business development activities

Skills & Qualifications

  • The position requires a keen understanding and enthusiasm of Carbon markets and how the target customer segments use Xpansiv products and services in the cash/physical market and the associated derivative markets.
  • Excellent Account Management skills to ensure our client needs are always met, including using CRM software to manage customer leads and opportunities within our internal systems.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a group.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Personal ambition and collaboration generate success in this role.
  • Establishes and maintains meaningful internal and external relationships.
  • High Level of accountability and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience trading, analyzing, and/or marketing Carbon Markets and/or other commodity markets.
  • Executive presence, strong leadership qualities, self-motivation, and outstanding communication skills.
  • Existing relationships with leaders and key influencers across the global carbon markets, including supply-side participants (e.g., project developers), demand-side participants (e.g., corporates, financial institutions, investors), and intermediaries (e.g., exchanges, brokers).
