About the role
This role would suit an ambitious and experienced professional, looking to develop their expertise in client management further.

Reporting to the Partners, the Qualified Accounts Portfolio Managerwill manage a number of accounts, as well as completing a seriesof key projects and business development activities.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing a high-quality client service, including responding to client queries, and those from third parties (e.g. HMRC) in a timely manner;
  • Developing a knowledge of clients and their businesses and become their point of contact on daytoday matters;
  • Reviewing accounts and tax returns prepared by more junior staff, including corporate and unincorporated clients;
  • Assisting with the management of the?Department to meet objectives, including completing staff appraisals, monitoring and effective delegation;
  • Identifying business and tax planning opportunities, VAT issues, NIC issues, and business planning points as part of the review process;
  • Preparing necessary reports and computations, and monitoring progress against deadlines for company reporting, P11ds, tax returns, etc
  • Assisting partners with specific assignments, including business planning, advisory and tax matters, as well as internal WIP and billing activities.

The person will be a strong communicator with pro-active team management skills.

They will be able to solve problems and generate ideas, demonstrating both an analytical mindset and confidence in managing client relationships.
