We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a commercial build project in Basingstoke. This £25 million warehouse project is scheduled to kick off in August 2024.

As the Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the project meets quality standards, stays on schedule, remains profitable, coordinates on-site activities, and manages subcontractors effectively for a successful project delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Overall construction responsibility, leading the building process to meet set timelines.
  • Closing pre-construction tasks to enable a smooth project commencement.
  • Developing and finalizing main contract schedules.
  • Orchestrating the construction process and aligning design co-ordination for seamless progress.
  • Serving as the primary contact for the client.
  • Collaborating with all departments to facilitate project progression and completion.
  • Creating and presenting detailed progress reports internally and to the client.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety, Security, and Fire regulations by the site team.
  • Coordinating with on-site workers and subcontractors in pre-start meetings.
  • Managing project subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
  • Establishing and organizing the main site filing system and team setup.
  • Generating regular management and client reports, and assisting in contractual communications.
  • Promoting effective communication methods among staff and supporting their development.
  • Conducting weekly team meetings, overseeing plant usage, and producing site progress reports.
  • Successfully completing projects on time, within budget, and conducting regular quantity surveyor meetings.
  • Handling site issues and progress discussions with the Project Director.
  • Supervising the preparation and distribution of operating manuals and attending post-handover meetings.
  • Performing any other relevant duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid Certification
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong Time Management and Leadership Abilities
  • Prior experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion
